About the Founder…

Stephen J . Chlebek founded Guardian Consultants LLC as a solution to provide corporate and private clients with the peace of mind that only experienced, highly trained professionals can.  Born and raised in suburban Chicago, Stephen began his career in Law Enforcement over 25 years ago. Stephen is a graduate of the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana Police Training Institute. Stephen has an extensive Law Enforcement background including having been a criminal and background Investigator, who is certified by the State of Illinois as a Lead Homicide Investigator and Criminal Sexual Assault Investigator.  Stephen has participated in numerous multi-jurisdictional investigations, to include the FBI, ATF, DEA, US Customs, US Secret Service, US Postal Inspection Service, US Attorney’s Office and was assigned to a multi jurisdictional task force as a Special Investigator. 

Stephen has experience investigating homicides, millions of dollars in financial crimes, electronic crimes and organized criminal groups.  Stephen has 14 years of experience with the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS). This elite team of law enforcement officers deployed for active duty during the Summer 2020 protests.  Stephen was also assigned to the 2012 NATO G20 Summit in Chicago, IL.  His team was sworn in as a Special Chicago Police Officers and authorized with Secret Service security clearance.  For 36 hours, stephen and his team members were successfully assigned to assist in the security and safety of President Barack Obama and 19 other foreign heads of state. During his over 25 year career in law enforcement, Stephen has received numerous commendations and multiple life saving awards.
